We conducted a Q&A with Kimmo Pty Ltd Finance Manager Johan Coertzen post implementation of Acumatica Cloud ERP.

Why did you choose to move from your previous ERP provider?

Before switching to Acumatica Cloud ERP, we were using Xero in combination with another platform called Unleashed. Our biggest challenge with this software was the fact that it was plug and play. The disadvantage of using a plug and play solution was that if you want more functionality you have to add all sorts of other plugins which became very expensive in the long run, said Johan Coertzen (Financial Manager) Kimmo (Pty) Ltd.

What were your expectations from an ERP solution?

We were looking for a true Cloud ERP system and that’s when we discovered Acumatica through Brilliant Link. Our main priority was a solution that would give us accurate Audit trails and hassle-free transaction history. Having had an unfortunate incident of fraud that went undetected through our previous software, security was also a huge priority.

What was your experience during the implementation of Acumatica?

Acumatica is well thought-through and does exactly what we need it to do. I must say, the implementation was really painless. We did this just before the COVID lockdown which meant everything had to be implemented remotely. I appreciate that Brilliant Link made this simple and with no business interruption.

What do you appreciate most about Acumatica Cloud ERP?

I love that Acumatica does what I need it to do. As a finance manager, it was a fun experience because it was also simple to understand.
